Columbia, MD - Atlantic Industrial, Inc. announces the appointment of Michael O’Malley as Vice President, Operations Support. “I am very excited about the breadth and depth of knowledge as well as the experience that Mike brings to Atlantic,” states Steven Sisney, President.
In this newly created position, Mike will take the lead role in helping drive continued improvement in the utilization of scaffold material. He will also be tasked with helping drive improvements in the areas of freight, fleet management, and purchasing. “As Atlantic continues to increase the amount of scaffold in our asset base, as well as grow the number of customer sites, the task of ensuring we have the right material at the right place at the right time at the lowest cost is becoming increasingly complicated,” notes Sisney
Prior to joining Atlantic, Mike held previous positions to which included VP, Supply Chain Operations for a division of MASCO Corporation as well as VP, Customer Service Operations for Black & Decker in Towson, MD. While at Black & Decker, he also held various management positions in distribution, transportation, demand planning and customer channel operations. “I am fortunate to be working for a company that understands the importance of making investments, such as the new asset management system software, which will make the organization more effective,” comments O’Malley.
