The Woodlands, TX - May 9, 2006 The Woodlands, TX Atlantic Scaffolding and Atlantic Plant Services, subsidiaries of Atlantic Industrial, won 10 NPRA (National Petrochemical and Refiners Association) Meritorious Safety Awards for Contractors. It is an honor to be recognized for our safety results by so many of our customers, and it is a testimony to our commitment to safety, states Steven Sisney, President of Atlantic Industrial.
Atlantic Scaffolding was recognized at eight facilities including ExxonMobil Refining and Supply, ExxonMobil O&A Plant and ExxonMobil Chemical Specialty Plant in Beaumont, TX, ExxonMobil Refining and Supply in Baytown, TX, ConocoPhillips Refinery in Lake Charles, LA, Chevron Refinery in Pascagoula, MS, Texas Refining Division of Marathon Petroleum and Western Refining Company in El Paso, TX. . Atlantic Plant Services earned their two awards at CITGO Petroleum Corporation in Lemont and Marathon Petroleum at Catlettsburg Refining.
This award recognizes those contractors working a minimum of 20,000 hours per calendar year at a regular member facility who have achieved a total recordable incidence rate of 1.2 or less with no workplace related fatality during the calendar year. The contractor must be nominated by a regular member facility during the application process. We appreciate the NPRA and its member companies for honoring Atlantic and other contractors for safety achievement. The easiest path to safety excellence is through a team effort by the owners and contractors working together to reduce workplace injuries, states Barry Guidry, Vice President of Health, Safety and Environmental.
